Each university has its own admissions requirements. Every candidate for Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine must have grades in Biology and Chemistry in their high school diploma and a Grades of at least 62 percent (A, B or C). Mathematics and Physics are required for other specialties, such as engineering.
The course is taught in English. However, in order to interact with patients at university hospitals from the third grade, it is necessary to acquire basic knowledge of the national language as part of studying at the university.
Since the United Kingdom left the European Union as a result of Brexit, a visa is now required to enter Bulgaria or any other country in the European Union for the purpose of study. This is referred to as Visa Type D. A visa is not currently required for tourism purposes; however, there is a 90-day limit on how long a person can stay in Bulgaria without a visa. This applies to all travelers, including parents and non-students.
